About me

I grew up taking things apart and putting them back together, and never really stopped. I studied electrical engineering at Brown, and I'm now at MIT in the Technology and Policy Program, where I work on how we govern AI systems.

Outside of research I build constantly: web apps, 3D-printed devices, language-learning tools, teaching systems. The through-line is the same everywhere — I like understanding how complicated systems work, and I like making them work better. That includes the most complicated system there is: two people trying to understand each other — which is what my facilitation practice is about.
